Air it up: It seems almost too obvious that you should check the air in your tires. However, you would be surprised how many of us are driving around with too little. Make sure to especially check them if you’re loading the car up for a road trip or even if you’re just running some long errands around the city. Do an internet search to find the appropriate PSI (pounds per square inch) of pressure needed in your tires and then head to a gas station to check them out. Be sure and check the air of your spare tire also. The spare is just as important, as the other four you ride around on, when something goes wrong.
The girl’s room had a conservative, black chiffarobe for their dresses and a matching black dresser for their clothes. They also had an old fashioned vanity table to sit at with a mirror. It was peaceful in my aunts’ old bedroom. I wondered how many times they must have sat there and combed their hair, looking into the long mirror. Now I am looking into the same mirror and feeling like a country girl myself.
Pets: If you’re driving with pets, be sure to have enough water and pet food on hand, and never leave an animal in a hot car unattended. Heat stroke can kill pets quickly. If your dog or cat is small enough, keep them in a pet carrier. For larger dogs, consider buying a harness and securing them with a seat belt in the back seat.

Sunday morning, 11 am. We now find ourselves at Bacino’s, a small mom and pop establishment. David, our waiter, assisted us in ordering their spinach and cheese pizza. I inadvertently ordered giardiniera mixed in with the spinach, a misunderstanding. The combination works very well, the spiciness of the giardiniera and the blandness of the spinach play together nicely. I’m told that if you ask for David you can order a Chef Jimmy deep dish pizza, spinach and cheese plus giardiniera.
Of course, the pity is that many of us live in what others would consider ideal vacation spots, yet we take them for granted. When was the last time that you truly explored your city? Could you not save the hotel and travel costs by vacationing at home? Pretending you are a tourist in your own home…and rediscover the beauty of the place you live.
